You have 60 days to submit your application after receiving an invitation
French Language Benefits
French Language Benefits
You can earn up to 50 additional points for strong French language skills
NCLC level 7+ in French + CLB 4 or lower in English
25 additional points if you scored CLB 4 or lower in English
NCLC level 7+ in French + CLB 5+ in English
50 additional points if you scored CLB 5 or higher on all four English skills
Note: Even if French is your second language, you can still earn these points

For skilled workers with foreign work experience
Requirements:
- At least one year of continuous full-time work experience
- Language test results
- Education credentials assessment
- Proof of funds
Federal Skilled Trades Program
For skilled workers in specific trades
Requirements:
- At least two years of full-time work experience in a skilled trade
- Language test results
- Job offer or certificate of qualification
Canadian Experience Class
For skilled workers with Canadian work experience
Requirements:
- At least one year of skilled work experience in Canada
- Language test results
- Work experience must be gained legally
TEF Canada Test Information

Assesses French proficiency for immigration purposes
Recognition
Recognized by IRCC as official proof for permanent residency and Canadian citizenship applications
